What is ISS?

Integrated Site Security (ISS) is a practical approach to site security that integrates technical, administrative and educational security solutions, and develops them in a consistent and coordinated way. This integration ensures that policies, rules, awareness and training all evolve in step with technological or administrative developments.

The ISSeG Project

Integrated Site Security for Grids (ISSeG) was a project co-funded by the European Commission within FP6 (Project number 026745), and ran for 26 months until March 2008.

The aim of the ISSeG project was to contribute to the consolidation of the European Grid infrastructure in the field of computer security, by creating and disseminating practical expertise on the deployment of Integrated Site Security (ISS), as a complementary action to EGEE Grid Security. To this end, the project created this training and dissemination web site.
