Hardware malfunction

What might happen:

Interruption to normal service. Device may continue to operate at a reduced capacity.

Examples:

Hardware interruption/fault. This may be caused by

Mechanical or electrical fault on equipment.
Mechanical damage to equipment (flood, fire, water, pressure etc.)
Saturation of resources (accidental) T11
Saturation of resources (intentional - eg denial of service) T12

Note that s a result of a intentional sustained attack or accidents, some devices can start to malfunction and exhibit the same symptoms as a denial of service attack
