Please select the description that best fits your role within a site and follow the link to the recommendations:

  • A General User is a person who uses site resources. Sometimes also known as an end user and include scientists and engineers who wish to use the Grid infrastructure.
  • A System Administrator is a person with operational responsibility for site resources and services.
  • A Developer is a person who develops software or services at a site. Sometimes also known as an application developer or service developer.
  • A Manager is a person with managerial responsibility for the site resources. Sometimes also known as an administrator.

These roles are not exclusive and it is expected that individuals will at different times perform these roles. General recommendations for each of these roles are given below:
